Modular construction is primarily more sustainable and cost-effective than conventional construction. Precision manufacturing not only ensures cleaner construction and superior quality control, it minimises waste and allows for critical needs to be met efficiently on an accelerated timeline.

Modular constructions are an efficient way to expand existing infrastructure including hospitals, temporary accommodation for work sites, schools, and for commercial uses. The installation of these modules causes almost no disruption to the operation of existing buildings. They are generally four sided and span 12m. Ad-Modular Accommodation have designed and installed 14m variants, to be used as long-term accommodation for Oldham hospital. This allows Royal Oldham Hospital to double the number of beds they can utilise.

We supply Ad-Modular with fabricated S355 Grade Steel posts with installation plates, cut on our state-of-the-art laser cutting machine. They are finished in an anti-corrosion spray applied paint for lasting protection.

All parts are cut on site using our Durma HD-F03015, using fibre laser technology to achieve a much-improved cut edge finish and lower cutting time when compared to CNC plasma cutters.

Laser capabilities:
• Maximum sheet size: 3m x 1.5m

Cutting Capabilities:
• 12mm for mild steel
• 6mm for stainless steel, aluminium and brass
• 3mm for copper

The positional accuracy and repeatability are ±0.05mm.

The anti-corrosion spray applied paint was used to ensure lasting protection – this was done on site in Crewe.
